Peer review is a crucial process to ensure that only high-quality and ethically sound research is published, while also motivating researchers to uphold academic integrity.
At International Journal of Shodh Setu (IJOSS), all submitted research articles undergo a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain objectivity and eliminate bias.
Our global network of reviewers, spanning diverse disciplines and languages, allows us to accommodate research submissions across a wide range of subjects.
IJOSS adheres strictly to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Our editors and reviewers are expected to ensure that authors comply with ethical publication standards throughout the review and publication process. You can access the COPE guidelines for editors here.

Review and Publication Process
- Initial Assessment:
- An editor with subject expertise performs an initial assessment of the submitted manuscript.
- Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they do not meet the journal’s quality standards, ensuring a swift decision-making process for authors.
- Peer Review Assignment:
- Suitable manuscripts are assigned to subject-specific reviewers proficient in the manuscript’s research domain and language.
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following 10 key criteria (scored out of 10 points each):
- Relevance of Title and Research Article
- Scholarly Quality
- Logical Flow and Continuity
- Theoretical Framework
- Novelty and Originality
- Technical Accuracy
- Clarity and Illustration of Concepts
- Analytical and Critical Insight
- Quality of References
- Strength of Conclusions
- Feedback and Revision:
- If revisions are required, authors will receive detailed feedback from reviewers.
- Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within one month. Delays may require the manuscript to undergo the entire review process again as a new submission.
- Acceptance Criteria:
- Manuscripts must achieve a minimum score of 75% to qualify for acceptance.
- Final Editing and Publication:
- Once approved, the editorial team performs a final review and edits, if necessary, before publication.
Plagiarism Policies
Plagiarism undermines academic integrity and the credibility of scholarly publications. At IJOSS, we are committed to publishing original research work that reflects the authors’ own analysis, methodologies, and conclusions.
- All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin plagiarism detection software to identify any content duplication from references, online sources, or prior publications.
- Manuscripts with more than 20% plagiarism will not be accepted for publication. Authors will receive a detailed plagiarism analysis report for review and necessary corrections.
Through these measures, IJOSS ensures the integrity, originality, and high academic standards of the research published in our journal.
